<div dir="ltr"><div>I tend to agree here they were the worst for a good while, and just continued to go down hill. I remember when the Tempe location was still Incredible Universe with fond memories of an ultimate geek heaven in the 90's, then it became frys. I've not been to one in a good 5 years, but over the 20-some years I did go to either store, they just got worse and worse. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Mostly I would go there for odd electrical components mostly, and they'd never have what I needed, mostly due to lack of inventory upkeep. If I needed something random like a PSU for someone's pc that blew out, it was stupidly expensive vs. an overnight from newegg. Their sales drones were the worst too, with them following you around trying to get a small commission off what you were buying for "helping you". I usually have to shoo them off, and sometimes nastily with "I know far more than you ever will, go away'. If anything, I'd go there, figure out what I wanted, kick the tires some, and come home to buy online at a significant discount pretty much anywhere else.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Their value to humanity has been dubious for a good while, to that I say good riddance.</div><div><br></div><div>I'll be curious to see if and who ends up buying their buildings (if anyone), particularly the ones with cultural themes like the Aztec Temple design at thunderbird, or some of the other various themed buildings they did in other places like the bay area where they were all different themes from Aztec to Wild West. Probably just level them and turn them into condos...<br></div><div><br></div><div>-mb</div><div><br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Wed, Feb 24, 2021 at 2:08 PM Aaron Jones via PLUG-discuss <<a href="mailto:plug-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org">plug-discuss@lists.phxlinux.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="auto"><div dir="ltr">Finally.
