<div dir="auto">I do lvmcache on my servers all the time. And when provisioning I can build in extra space for wear leveling. I should add, that you can run a hybrid setup where you run your
system on the SSD and put your home directory on an spinning
drive. That's actually how I have most of my systems setup as I
use a HUGE amount of space. That way all the stuff that needs to be
fast is and the stuff that just needs to be stored is on the cheaper
spinning disks.<br>

If you want to do that, you can same a lot of money and just get a
240gig SSD, which is more than enough for your system files, and
spend the different in cost for a couple of terabytes of spinning
storage.<br>
<br>
If you want to get really fancy, you could partition part of your
SSD off and use it as a cache for your spinning drive and kinda have
you cake and eat it too.<br>
