Try: mv ~/.mozilla ~/DOT.mozilla<br>
You will lose any passwords and what not, but if that<br>
stops the crashing, at least you know where it is coming<br>
from. You can restore it later if need be.<br>

Thanks guys. I tried both, but it still crashes.<br>
I even deleted all known mozilla and firefox and did<br>
a complete fresh install from synaptic, and it still<br>
keeps crashing on startup. Everything else on my system<br>
is working fine.<br>
