That's a mystery. I'm sitting here with Void Linux on a 256GB SSD
root<br>
partition (and some mounts on spinning disks). I didn't have to do<br>
anything out of the ordinary.<br><br>

The message displayed plus the phone call to Samsung SSD support....who
told me that Linux was difficult to work with, etc.....I told him I did
not appreciate his comments; I just wanted the solution - no help - we
can't troubleshoot/repair/diagnose etc.....<br><br>
Was not supportive at all!<br><br>
I have now went to an older HD I still had that was a dual boot with
Windows 7 prof on it - will try to do it from there.......<br><br>
