<p dir="ltr">If you connect two endpoints to a hub the anything across that hub can be looked at by wireshark. And some things are broadcast in general to all tcpip devices. Also If you have your hub/sniffing machine between your network and gateway it will see all traffic. </p>

           Our main switch is just a small embedded PPC, and does not
          have the RAM or Flash to run Wireshark, and probably not the
          speed also. But some switch/routers might be able to and then
          you could see traffic on any of the lines connected to it.<br>
