unplugging any drive you don't need for the restore operation.
That way you can't choose the wrong one. You'll only have
available the one the backup is on and the one the backup is going
to.<br>

I'd try Clonezilla. You should be able to back up an image to another
disk or a file server on your network, and then restore it to the same
size or larger drive. It is pretty easy to use, but be careful when
restoring to choose the correct device...
