Which version of XBMC are you trying to run - EDEN or FRODO? FRODO
is the latest, and greatest. I'm running FRODO right now, and have
CBS with the Super Bowl running in the background.

BTW, which Linux Distro are you running? If UBUNTU or Linux Mint
(I run Mint) I just added the 2 PPA to my repositories. If a .rpm
Distro you might just want to Google for the PPA install of the
latest. I actually am not sure if FRODO has gone final, but last I
looked I was running RC3, but it would up-date in Terminal when I
ran the usual sudo apt-get update / upgrade.
the living room and just run xmbc as a program (bummer). So I go

do a little web searching and find that apt-get is the way I
should do it. I found the

xmbc id in the official ubuntu repository so apt should do
it.
