sudo cd... command not found?

 Hello,  Is this an ongoing problem or only happening right now?Did you modify any files in your profile to add  such things as aliases?If this is happening right now just close the current shell and launch another one and try that exercise again.

Not sure what is going on here:

cd <path> results in message "-bash: cd: <path> : Permission denied".

Then I add sudo : sudo  cd <path> results in message  :  "sudo: cd: 
command not found".

Any help is much appreciated!!
