OT: html code to open a document in kwrite?

This is an over the top suggestion - not lightweight in any sense, but
you do get to write the script in HTML/CSS/JS and you can access local
files.....  look at Electron from   https://electronjs.org/

not simple, not small

wouldn't a bash wrapper around kwrite be better? or a python program, or...
