Why have HackFests been Dropped from the PLUG Schedule?

I would like to address one specific point.

This specific claim of "sexual harassment" has been made several times now
on this list.  I have offered to intervene or mediate in the past to a
response of silence.  Continuing to refer back to this supposed incident,
again and again whenever there is some other unrelated complaint,
accomplishes nothing and instead needlessly harms the image of PLUG to
potential members.

If there is a problem let's address it as adults already.  Otherwise let's
please stop slinging mud at each other.  Lisa, you take offence at what you
perceive to be a gender-motivated slight. I, and probably many of us, take
offence at good people being repeatedly publicly accused of things the
accuser declines to work out.  Let's either deal with this or drop it.

I have been an active PLUG member for 7 or 8 years now.  In that time I
have never once, not even for a nanosecond, felt anything but welcome and
respected by everyone I have had the pleasure of interacting with in this
group, online and in person.  I have never felt my sex or gender had the
slightest thing to do with anything.

To anyone in the PLUG membership, female or otherwise, who have
reservations about participating I would be happy to chat with you about
those concerns.  I can be reached via email, in the Freenode #plugaz
channel, or at Gangplank in Chandler during business hours.
