You don't need a rescue image if you run windows inside a VM.  All you 
have to do is install windows and get it running exactly like you want 
it, then take a snapshot of the system.
If anything ever happens to the system where you would feel a need to 
restore it back to default you would simply abandon the current snapshot 
and roll back to the original image.  The best part is that you don't 
even have to delete the current infected/trashed snapshot, you can just 
take another snapshot off the original image and run a second parallel 
session that is clean as a whistle.
