Where is /dev/dvdrw mounted?  Probably /mnt/dvdrw/ .  If a process (Michael's
shell) is in /mnt/dvdrw/ , then you can't umount it.  So, "cd ; umount
/dev/dvdrw" will probably work a lot better....
