Hi!

As part of support for the West Side development meeting, Steve Kaplan and I
showed up to assist to get things going.

We identified in brain storming format (open shout style) the following
areas of interest:. Of course, we corrected some of these areas where those
interests might already be covered for instance by a specialty offshoot
(like the Developers Group, Installfest or HackFests) those are included
here. Since the groups are not in any sense filled to capacity, starting a
new venue on that subject might be counter productive, yet we don't want to
squelch any group from presenting on a topic for which there is a great
following.

The Group Goals / Summary of Interests for the West Side group includes:

1) Linux:
a) Summary of Specific Distribution List (InstallFest)
i. Mint
ii. Dinguy OS
iv. MCE
b) Humor and Food (east Stammtische)
c) Media Player Tech (East)
d) Programming: (Developers Group)
e) Basis OS Services LDAP/Samba/MSDNS (HackFest/Developers)
f) Scripting (Developers Group)
g) Event organizing recommendations
h)embedded hardware ARM, Symbios etc,
i) Linux Firewalls (hackfest)
j) Applications (Developers)
k) HWKEY & MS/Mac Interoperability (Development/HackFest/InstallFest
l) Backup Disaster Recovery (HackFest)
m) Command Line Expertise "Knowing How to Know" (Hackfest/Developers)
n) UPNi/Net Security (HackFest/Development)
o) Moodle/Drupal/Joomla/CMS - Web Content for Projects (hackfest)
(Development List)
p) Free Websites 110MB (free web servers[just pay for mysql and php])
(hackFest) (development list)

General structure can be to solicit presentations, or invite all group
members to bring tools toys and be prepared for an open full duplex session
dissection, reverse engineering, alternate uses a

Haleys Rules of Rules of Order - similar to Johns Rules of Order, except
only followed as often as Haley's Comet appears.
Anyone uncomfortable with group leadership, shared organization and open lab
agenda can schedule to lead a demonstration.
