Android/DroidX account sync to Linux

Someone posted a desire to sync to Linux, its not an over the wire
solution, but this is one service that Ubuntu has put forth

one.ubuntu.com

and i just did a contact sync to the service. and it worked.. in
android it comes up as another linked profile.. beware this may
require some edits and tinker to get to work cleanly. but it does...

It looks like they are using Funambol's product for this to work.

now how much do you trust Ubuntu and Funambol with your data.
