Brother HL-2140 laser printer report

According to the site the Brother HL-2140 "mostly" works on linux.

i consulted it before picking a brother hl-1440 out of a junk heap last
week. which is listed as "Perfectly" working on linux.

I just plugged it in, and it works (linux mint 8). Maybe i had to go add
printer in printer configuration, but it was straightforward.
