Gnote is great - it will pick up Tomboy data if you want to transition
- if you want to be specific about where the window opens either
polish your Gconf fu, or use some of the plugins from Compiz - this
tutorial on the vanishing terminal window is a good template for
sizing & locating a window from a specific app:
