Shell Account

to bring this back in, the self addressed envelope to verify who you
are and to fill out the form is so they can prove they know who you
are and pin a physical address to the account should you do anything
illegal to their server or from there server. most anyplace that's
free will have this stipulation and the cost of a postage stamp isn't
bad considering. im considering it myself just to have a shell account
to run various things from outside my network.

and even though he is talking about cracklib since when have we not
talked about similar things, including our regular traffic about
hackfests and the events that happen at them. how many of those
conversations taken out of context could be a nice smoking gun.

he wants a shell to run a nonstop irc client because he likes to
chat... the reasons for it are almost irrelevant.
