No, that appears to be a different issue, however background strict behavior between browsers effects drop down menus so it can appear to be a browser bug. Often drop-down menu issues are difficult to troubleshoot due to CSS also.

Everyone was trying to assist you, but you already fixed it!

You can get various Developers Toolbars for IE7, Firefox, Safari, Opera Dragonfly here: http://www.klauskomenda.com/archives/2008/02/16/collection-of-web-developer-tools-per-browser/

Also this site has some online browser simulators and other tools: http://websitetips.com/tools/

As you can see, without actually inspecting each element (which the developer plugins and toolbars can assist you to do) it's a bit convoluted.

Also, while you did give me your URL, I apologise that I didn't display your source.

Glad you fixed it.

      Lisa,

        thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I think I just fixed it, I am not sure if this relates to the bug or not.

      when I put this in

      #primary-nav a:active{

      background-image: url(uploads/images/menuoff.jpg);

      }

      it fixed the issue, does this work around the bug, or was this a different issue/

      thanks again

              This is actually a web development issue (not a Microsoft based Issue).

This is a known issue with IE7 for menu dropdowns.
