kernel problems

A *LOT* of things have changed. Don't try to use the old initramfs, as it
is too old for a 2.6.28 kernel.

Feel free to check out my Gentoo 2008.0 2.6.28.x config file, but keep in
mind, when building a kernel, make sure to build all necessary drivers
into the kernel, and not as a module. If you make a necessary driver a
module, THEN you *will* need the initramfs for your version kernel.

Here's where my config file is for my old P3 Dual Xeon 550 MHz file server.

Regards,
