Congratulations Sir Rix;

Your tuxonice patch was installed! 

Both issues #1 & #2  are entirely due to the tuxonice patch.
You can get support directly from  #tux-on-ice on irc.freenode.net.

Since I am assuming that your old kernel worked, can you do a diff between your old config and this new config for us just to verify?
