OT: Unix Job Position

Received information about this a couple of days ago.  I do not work
for Global Crossing, but thought someone here might possibly be
interested in this position.



Here is the job description. Looking for extensive UNIX experience
preferably Solaris and AIX.  If your interested please send me a word

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 Under general direction:

* Defines, develops, installs, and maintains the company's internal data
processing hardware and software operating systems of high complexity*
Modifies software to fit specialized needs and configurations of
complexity. Monitors and tunes the systems to achieve optimum
performance levels * May act as a team leader, providing direction to
less experienced colleagues * Conducts significantly complex systems
programming and systems support activities, such as new or revised
program language codes, processing routines and report generators *
Prepares and conducts significantly complex systems programming tests
requiring interfacing of hardware and software Develops and promotes
standard operating procedures


Job Requirements

 * Typically requires a degree in a related field (or the equivalent in
education and experience) with significant directly applicable
experience * Is a seasoned, experienced professional with a full
understanding of area of specialization * Is able to apply advanced
expertise in technical principles, theories, and concepts to resolve a
variety of highly complex issues in creative ways



This position will require Network Security level screening.



Pursuant to the Network Security Agreement (NSA) entered into between
Global Crossing and the U.S. Government, only U.S. citizens may be
assigned to this position.

Min. Education Requirements

 * Typically requires a degree in a related field (or the equivalent in
education and experience)
