 According the Wikipedia, the "plan for the GNU operating system was
publicly announced on 27 September 1983."

Google celebrates its birthday on September 27.  This year GNU turns 25 and
Google turns 10.

I wonder why they picked the 20th instead of the 27th?

I will work on getting SCC to honor Software Freedom Day for those people
who don't want to stray too far away from Scottsdale.
