  Hi Chris,

  Im am also pleased that Obama won over Hillary.  He was my second
choice, as his support for technology is second to none.  I think
Huckabee is picking up all the middle america 'blood and earth'
voters, who have had dominance in our country for the past 8 years.
It does appear as though RP's progressive outlook will stay in the
'extremist' category, we may be hearing from these people again in the
future.  I think Obama stands an excellent chance of making president.
 The illegal alien issue still does remain as a trump card.  If Obama
steps up, his biggest weakness will be military and foreign policy
issues.

  remember the Dems do have a history of a progressive IP outlook.  It
was Clinton (Bill that is) that introduced Provisional Patents.

  another interesting position of Obama is his America CTO idea.  He
wants to create a commision to govern all tech policy in the US.  I
have to say, this is sorely needed.  Where will this person come from?
 Academia?  Microsoft [1]?  the Linux World?  Oh, and Obama, please
axe Martin @ FCC immediately!
