Sorry for the fashionably-ultra-late RSVP, but after finding out I *CAN*
get the night off, I am happy to say I will be attending! I have the
following:

A Wal-Mart $600 special Acer Aspire 5520-5912 complete with M$ Vista
Tax, 2G RAM, 160 GB drive with a 2nd partition
I intend to use for the Linux install, Nforce integrated
video/audio/etc, and--most important, probably the trickiest,
and the reason I want to do this at an installfest instead of myself--an
Atheros AR5BXB6 aka AR5007EG 802.11b/g
internal which requires a special patched MadWiFi driver. My internet
access is wireless-only so if IT's not working,
I'm dead in the water.

I'm a Slackware guy for over a decade, but this has an AMD Turion X2,
which is 64 bit, so I'm migrating to SlamD64, if
any of you have experience with that.

CU all at 10!

Mike

P.S. Long drive for me being in the west valley...
