Here are some of the comments in my mailbox from some of the over 300
SFD teams from around the world.

"It was a lot of work but worth it I believe. At least members had fun
and we gave away 500 OpenCDs in Chinese (we did the translation within
the 3 weeks before the event." Beijing China Linux Group

"One of the biggest reasons I hear from people against switching to
Linux is the lack of games, so we had a networked Battle for Wesnoth
tournament - which the gamers 'loved'." Copley (a little town of 102 people)

"due to the fact that the SFD in our city is on 21st of September each
year (fixed), we merged the two dates, and we celebrated SFD on 22nd of
September, the last weekend. It was fun!" Bitola/Macedonia

"We had a grand SFD celebration in Kathmandu, Nepal with the slogan
'Linux for Desktops, let's make iT FOSSible'. It was jointly organized
by High Level Commission for IT (HLCIT - www.hlcit.gov.np), the apex
government body for IT in Nepal and FOSS Nepal Community
(www.fossnepal.org):" Nepal

AS you can see Free and Open Source Software is gaining all over the world.
