Though I appreciate that, the specs are far more important. Given no
driver whatsoever but full open specs, a free driver can be produced and
maintained by the community. Given no specs but an "open source" driver
full of magic numbers and strange incantations it's very difficult to
maintain it. Having both specs and drivers open is wonderful, of course.
