postfix configuration

I recently went from a residential cox account to a business and want to 
set up postfix on opensuse
10.2 I have been able to get mail on my computer from other people not 
on my network sent to joey at linuxamd.com but dont know how to set it up 
do be read from other than the command line for example i want to use 
seamonkey what ports do i need to set up for my mail server and is imap 
another mail server that i must have configured also to do this?  I 
would really appreciate a good how to to get started if anyone knows of 
one. Thanks in advance.
