Hiring Immediately: Senior Linux Systems Administrator

Jobs and Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and enhance Linux web, database, mail and intranet
servers
- Monitor and tune performance across of network of servers
- Work with a strong team of web developers to maintain and enhance hundreds
of production web sites
- Enhance performance of cluster of webservers
- Set up MySQL cluster

Required Skills
- 3+ years Linux System Administration
- 2+ years experience administering a high-availability
Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP environment
- Experience implementing redundant multi-tiered systems
- Experience in relational database design and optimization in MySQL and/or
PostgreSQL
- Experience with various popular MTA's
- DNS (BIND) administration experience
- Cisco router administration
- Bash Shell and/or Perl scripting
- Conversant in HTML and PHP
- Able to stress-test and load-balance of servers using LVS
- Able to monitor server hardware before there is a problem
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Must meet deadlines and be able to work on several projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Desired Skills
- Familiarity with version control systems (i.e. CVS/SVN)
- Experience administering Samba-mapped Windows XP desktops
- Experience with Asterisk

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate prior projects
utilizing the required skills listed above and must be able to 'hit the
ground running' with minimal training time.

Salary range $50-60k depending on experience, plus bonuses per year.
