Publisher in Linux or alternative?

Ah... Publisher... I was forced to use it in my MS Office class this past
year...

It's just a desktop publishing program. It's actually quite nice, if not a
little annoying to use. Some alternatives would be OpenOffice.org. I've
used Draw in the past to create a card for my brother. Templates, although
scarce, can be found through some googling.

And there's always Scribus, which is the closest thing. But it's not as
user-friendly as Publisher.

If they already have a copy of MS Publiser, then you can suggest running
it in Crossover or Wine. That's what I would do if I were in such a
position.
