Yeah, I hate when I click on the "reply" button (not "reply to all") and still find the lists's address on the "To:" line.  It's always a relief not to be the embarrassed one.

Fortunately that exchange was nothing relationship-endangering.   :-)

Religious principles notwithstanding, there are good arguments on both sides of the "How to populate Reply-To" debate.  We just need another header that will *always* be the originator.  Next time they enhance SMTP, hopefully there will be an "Originator:" header as well, and mail clients will be enhanced with an additional option, "Reply Only to Originator".

Still, users of something as powerful as email just need to learn to be vigilant about where mail comes from, and whom it will go to.  Guess there's really no way around that.  (Reminds me of this morning's Slashdot discussion on the hazards of robots!)
