How to remove "bookmarks" from the Firefox menu?

Is it possible (I'm sure it must be) to remove the "bookmarks" menu 
option from the Firefox menu bar? 

I've used  View > Toolbars > Customize  to put the "location" (URL address) 
window on the menu bar so I could eliminate all other toolbars and keep 
the appearance simple, but I can't figure out how to remove the "Bookmarks" 
option that I do not use.
