Installed SUSE 9.3 w/ 15" LCD, then swapped to 17" LCD... res limited to 1024x

I must be getting stubborn in my years, so I did another install but 
swapped out the MX440SE video card for a Matrox G550.  I don't think 
that actually was the problem, nor am I sure if there was one other than 
me :-P , but I installed with a 15" lcd and then swapped it for a 17" 
lcd.  Not the slickest tool, but sax2 did the job.
