Does the d/l site have a md5sum.txt? Compare it to the
d/l'd copy. Then maybe the site has a bad file.

Something sure sounds funny here iso wise. Bet the
site is bad since you have used two cdrom/writers.
That should show up as a different md5 if you have and
are using k3b. K3b creates a new md5sum from the
'downloaded to be burned file' in its window before
send, just scroll down that window to it. 

I did have one iso a year or so ago that repeatedly
was bad, changed sites and it burned perfectly.

Hope this helps. It is not unheard of for some idiot
to tamper with download sites, altho it is seldom done
in linux servers,  but....
