Hardware Vendor

Hi everyone,

This shouldn't be so hard but I guess it is.
I am looking for pretty simple box for my new Linux
server. The main requirement is How swappable raid
either 1 or 5. What I do want is a vendor who
will guarantee the hardware will work with Linux
and support the hardware for reasonable amount of time.

I would prefer local vendor but if someone knows of
a reliable Internet outfit that would work too.

I have looked that penguincomputing but their
prices are a bit high. $190.00 for a drive which
is retailed at $115.00 seems a bit excessive.

I would prefer not to buy from Dell, due to previous
experiences with customer support.

I have built a number of boxen on my own but after my
last experience at Fry's.... well you can probably guess.

So gang, any recommendations?

Greg
