I added a new user-agent profile with this useragent:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US;
rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5

everything else from the default agent. This
semi-impersonates firefox on windows. Worked. Now I
just need to figure out how to change the default
user-agent.
