Linux at ASU Conference?

I downloaded the PDF of the conference catalog, 80 pages of it. I searched on the terms "linux" "open source" and "free software" All these returned no hits. No mention at all in the entire conference.

Wow. We have a lot of advocacy work still to do if a regional conference on microcomputers in education does not even mention these things. Even with all the publicity OSS/FS has been getting and the tight budgets government is faced with right now, no discussion of open technology is scheduled.

Is anyone attending this thing? How do we help open technology break into the education market?

Alan

Checking the web site (http://mec.asu.edu/) I don't see anything that points at
Linux or Free Software or Open Source.

Does anyone know more about this thing? I won't be attending but it seems
that it would be a natural place for advocacy of freedom.
