ping using name instead of ip

You can still used fixed addresses with a DHCP server, by tying MAC
address to certain IPs. Relieves the need to configure your machines by
hand, but you can still keep statis IP mappings. There should be options
in your DHCP documentation explaining how to set up those bindings.
