Transmitting screen shots for legal records

Rather than storing images couldn't you just store the HTML you sent to
the end user and then also store the returned FORM data (obviously) and
any desirable client information (browser type, window size, etc).  This
is certainly not invasive (at least not any more invasive than typical
logging) and would allow the end users screen to be regenerated
instantly from the stored info.

This is all smaller than images, and much easier to obtain, and there is
no versioning required since rather than storing the URL (as mentioned
above) the actual HTML is saved.
