Another easy question . . .

When you make a request to a page or add it to your bookmarks, your
browser makes a request for favicon.ico.  If it exists, just download it
directly like http://www.domain.com/favicon.ico (it is a standard icon
file). 

If it isn't named favicon.ico and the site you are viewing has one, look
in the source html. You should find meta or link tags like below that
force the loading of the icon and reveal it's location.
