Help getting experience

I'm a little concerned that someone who wants to be a Software Engineer would say "even programming would work."  If you're looking at programming as a last resort type thing, than I doubt software engineer is what you really want to be.  That attitude probably comes across in interviews too.

One place to look for jobs is on geekjobs.org  Get on their email list.
