Switching from ASP to JSP/PHP

I would say, it depends on what type of development you are planning to 
do. If it is a simple web site, I would say PHP. But if you are planning 
to implement complex enterprise wide intranet/internet service I will 
surely do it with Java/JSP. It has very robust frameworks and scales 
really well with Web frameworks like Struts and Velocity.

For moving into JSP you need to learn Java. JSP is just a way of 
embedding Java in html.
