Apparently this is beat up on newbies day - especially if they use
Windows to send/receive email

don't know what you're using but suggest for text viewing...

if virtual console (text) just try less

if xwindows...

gnome - gless

kde - kate

so just type either in or if in a console window...

less <document>
gless <document>
kate <document>
