Outgoing ping unknown

I discovered that also.  I filed a support issue, and, after 
two weeks, got back a useless reply (couldn't find it in the
source code blah blah blah).  

After installing the source I fount it's a patch that SuSE 
applied to ensure you have a usable DNS upon connection to 
the ISP.  If DNS fails, you get a warning message.  They chose 
to use their own domain name for the test.

Pretty harmless.
