I thought -qf was "query: who owns this file"

\_ SMTP quoth George Toft on 1/22/2002 20:04 as having spake thusly:
\_
\_ Oh, silly me - I was trying
\_ rpm -qa -qf "%{NAME}\n"
\_ which did not work. The man page says -qf and --queryformat are
\_ equivelant. Line 183 of the man page:
\_ You may specify the format that package information should be
\_ printed in. To do this, you use the [--queryformat|-qf]
\_ option, followed by the format string.
\_
\_ This:
\_ rpm -qa --queryformat "%{NAME}\n"
\_ works perfectly. Obviously --queryformat != -qf
\_
\_ And I thought it was me.
\_
\_ Thanks for the clue!
