Need Video card suggestion for 2D that's well supported in both W2k and Linux.

If that's all you're doing you can stick with matrox, if you might play
with any 3-D stuff then nVidia is the way to go. Might I suggest A 64MB
GeForce2 for under 100$?

However, the Radeon drivers are Open-Source if that sort of thing is
important to you...

(Nvidia's drivers are closed source, built by VA I believe)
