FWIW, I picked up a 56X ATAPI drive from Fry's about 2 weeks ago for
$29.99.  Not free, but reasonable.  There were a couple palettes of them
back by the loose-parts-for-geeks wall.

 If you're just looking for a coaster I've got a "All-New! AOL 7.0" I
can let go.  It's in a way-spiffy Froot Loops (tm) themed box.
