BYO or manufactured?

I will be putting KDE 3 on it.  I am in the process of switching it from Red
Hat 7.2 which didn't play well with KDE (they do not support KDE at all at
Red Hat.) to Mandrake 8.2  Kde 3.0 will be the first upgrade on it.  I
already have the Mandrake 9.2 RPM's.
