Here's a different track that'll leave you set up better:

Go to http://www.freesco.org/ and follow the help.  Then buy a used 
Pentium I box (hard drive not needed).  Freesco gives you the routing 
you are looking for as well as decent firewalling, by hiding your 
internal boxes behind Network Address Translation (NATing).  You can 
have many boxes online at once and COX only sees one.

The bottom line:  the software is free!
