Are you running RPM as root?

Subject: RPM weirdness...

RPM has started doing funky things lately and I'm not sure why...
When I do something like:

rpm -qa|grep foo

It just hangs.
And when I try to install a new package, I get fun messages like this:

error: db3 error(-30998) from db->close: DB_INCOMPLETE: Cache flush was
unable to complete

Anyone have any idea what's going on?

The last I touched RPM was when I upgraded to KDE 2.2
Thanks,
~M
