Fastest e-mail client?

Well other than not actually using actual images to draw the display, pine
allows you to point and click your way though everything, and it would be
very hard to beat in the speed or features category.
If I remember right, there was a graphical wrapper for pine that made it
into a decent graphical client, you might want to look at that it clicking
on text isn't good enough.
